The research discusses the decision of the House of Representatives to terminate the work of the provincial councils until new elections are held.The essay also examines the motives and reasons behind making this decision, considering the fact that the House of Representatives had extended the work of the provincial councils in the third amendment to the Provincial Law No. (21)/ 2008.In addition, this paper exploresthe possibility of restoring the work of the provincial councils in light of the political consensus.
