Abstract

The adoption of the principles of transitional justice usually follows the end of armed conflicts and the collapse of authoritarian regimes, where this justice documents violations committed against citizens, prosecutes those responsible, cleanses institutions of them, redress the affected and compensates them through various mechanisms and tries to integrate them into society through various programs. The adoption of transitional justice as one of the ways of transition to democracy and political transformation imposes a new relationship between the ruler and the governed based on respect for human rights and freedoms, and the establishment of rules that prevent the violation of these rights under a circumstance or name to reach the establishment of justice, achieve national reconciliation, societal and political stability and strengthen national unity.
