Strategies for international cooperation in combating drug trafficking

Drug trafficking is a global issue that significantly affects security and stability around the world, requiring effective strategies for international cooperation to combat it. This research reviews international cooperation strategies in combating drug trafficking by analyzing theoretical frameworks, international mechanisms, and challenges facing cooperation between countries. The research also discusses the role of international organizations such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Health Organization, in addition to international agreements and security and technical cooperation. The study seeks to identify the main challenges that hinder the effectiveness of international cooperation and provide recommendations to improve coordination and increase the effectiveness of international strategies. In doing so, the research provides valuable insights into how to enhance joint efforts to combat drug trafficking and ensure tangible results at the regional and international levels.
