Abstract

Countries always seek to provide energy sources represented by oil and gas to meet their economic, social, and even political needs, indifferent to the damage caused by these sources when they are consumed and transformed into harmful materials to the environment, which accumulate over years and turn into disasters that are difficult to treat. The countries that are the focus of the study (the Russian Federation, the United States) seek to enter new areas to search about new energy sources, Especially after the recent environmental changes that led to the melting of ice in the Arctic region, which led to increase competition between the countries overlooking the Arctic to exploit the existing wealth that emerged as a result of continuous exploration, which confirmed the presence of large quantities of hydrocarbons lurking beneath Ice.
