After 2003, Iraq tried to build sound regional and international relations on the basis of peaceful principles and not threaten regional and international security. Because of the political change and the flexibility of the international system, which encouraged the regional powers in the strategic environment to move and establish their regional projects. Among these regional powers, the most effective and influential in Iraqi foreign policy is Iran; As a result of the ties and interests that bind the two countries, they follow various strategies to ensure their national interests in Iraq, so that Iraq is part of its regional Islamic project.
