The subject of energy diplomacy, specifically oil and gas, falls under the umbrella of diplomacy, which is a major component of a state's foreign policy. It is closely intertwined with the dynamics of international politics and international relations. Naturally, all these topics are considered as a part of political science and interconnected with the fields of law, economics, sociology, administration, psychology, as well as military sciences and the overall policy of the state.
