The research addressed the climate change crisis that has affected many countries of the world, including Iraq, and the repercussions of this crisis on Iraq, with the aim of arriving at an effective strategy through which it can adapt to the risks of climate change by benefiting from international efforts that have succeeded in reducing the effects of climate challenges.
Iraq is one of the countries that have been subjected to climate change that has affected the environmental reality, causing a rise in temperatures and a decrease in rainfall levels. It has also caused a decline in water levels, led to an increase in the rate of salinization, and the frequent occurrence of dust and sand storms, which made Iraq classified among Countries most affected by climate change. Adapting to climate change requires radical transformations in human and natural systems in order to develop climate strategies capable of alleviating the severity of climate challenges, in order to move away from the cycle of climate danger, and reduce the environmental damage that has occurred in Iraq or may occur in the future
