العراق وتوظيف الجهود الدولية لمواجهة اثار التغير المناخي: نحو استراتيجية ناجعة للتكيف مع المخاطر

تناول البحث أزمة التغير المناخي التي أثرت في كثير من دول العالم ومن بينها العراق، وانعكاسات هذه الأزمة على العراق بهدف التوصل الى استراتيجية فاعلة يمكن عن طريقها التكيف مع مخاطر التغير المناخي بالاستفادة من الجهود الدولية التي نجحت في الحد من اثار التحديات المناخية.
ويعد العراق من الدول التي تعرضت الى تغيرات مناخية اثرت في الواقع البيئي، وتسببت بارتفاع في درجات الحرارة، وقلة في مستويات الامطار، كما كانت سببا في تراجع مناسيب المياه، وادت الى زيادة نسبة التملح، وتكرار حدوث العواصف الترابية والرملية، مما جعل العراق يصنف ضمن الدول الاكثر تأثرا بالتغير المناخي. ويتطلب التكيف مع التغير المناخي اجراء تحولات جذرية في النظم البشرية والطبيعية من اجل وضع استراتيجيات مناخية قادرة على التخفيف من حدة التحديات المناخية، من اجل الابتعاد عن دائرة الخطر المناخي، وتقليل الاضرار البيئية التي لحقت بالعراق او يمكن أن تحدث في المستقبل.
