The importance of studying the water crisis in Iraqi-Turkish relations stems from its direct impact on Iraq's water and food security, as many sectors depend on the regular flow of water. Despite diplomatic efforts and joint agreements, tensions persist due to the disparity in water interests and policies between the two countries. In light of climate change and population growth, water management has become a pivotal issue that requires a shared future vision and permanent solutions to avoid further tensions and ensure water stability between the two countries.
