يستكشف البحث التقاطع بين التكنولوجيا الخضراء والاستدامة الاقتصادية، ويحلل على وجه التحديد تأثير الابتكارات الخضراء في الاستدامة الاقتصادية بعد عام 2020، كما يسلط البحث الضوء على التقدم الكبير في التكنولوجيات الخضراء، ولاسيما في مصادر الطاقة المتجددة مثل: الطاقة الشمسية وطاقة الرياح والطاقة الكهرومائية، إلى جانب التقنيات الحديثة التي تعمل على إعادة تشكيل الصناعات، وتوفر فرصاً اقتصادية جديدة مع تقليل الاعتماد على الوقود الأحفوري.
وخلص البحث إلى أن التكنولوجيات الخضراء تشكل أهمية بالغة لتحقيق الاستدامة الاقتصادية على المدى الطويل، حيث تقدم فوائد مثل زيادة الكفاءة، والحد من التدهور البيئي، وخلق صناعات ووظائف جديدة، ومع ذلك، فإن تلك الفوائد مشروطة بدعم قوي من السياسات، والاستثمار في الابتكار، والتعاون العالمي، فالانتقال إلى الاقتصاد الأخضر عملية معقدة ومتعددة الأوجه تتطلب التعاون بين الحكومات والصناعات والمستهلكين.
