جاء هذا البحث ليؤشر على المفاهيم العامة لحقوق الإنسان في الفكر السياسي الإسلامي المعاصر دون الخوض في الابعاد التفصيلية الفقهية لها لأن الغاية الأساسية منها الابعاد الفكرية ، كما اعتمدت على المفكرين بعيداً عن انتمائهم المذهبي والحزبي ، والتركيز على البعد العقائدي ، الذي يستمد منه المفكر رؤيته التحليلية للإبعاد حقوق الإنسان في الإسلام .
هدف الإسلام هو المجيء بنظام أخلاقي مثالي يرتكز على المجتمع، وتضمنت العقيدة الإسلامية مبادئ كلية لتكون خالدة وصالحة لكل زمان ومكان ، وبشريعة محكمة وعادلة تحكم الإنسان في مختلف تصرفاته ومعاملاته ، وذلك بالنسبة لنفسه وفي علاقة مع أسرته ومع مجتمعه ، الذي يعيش فيه ومع المجتمعات والامم الاخرى علماً أن الغاية الاساسية للدين الاسلامي ، هي اصلاح الناحية الفردية في الإنسان ، ومما لا شك فيه ، فأن جانباً كبيراً من مبادئ الإسلام لا يمكن تطبيقه إلا من خلال طريق التعامل بين الافراد ، وقيامهم بمجهود جماعي تكون نتيجة تطبيق مبادئ الإسلام تطبيقاً سليماً ، والاستفادة منها على خير وجه .
